INFANT FEEDING PROGRAMME TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By purchasing and participating in this programme, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

  1. ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

This programme is delivered by Shawn McLaren, a HCPC-registered Dietitian.

The programme provides evidence-based education and support relating to infant and young child feeding.

  1. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE

The programme is intended for educational purposes only and does not constitute individual dietetic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.

Information provided during sessions is general in nature and may not be appropriate for every child or family situation.

Participants are responsible for seeking individual healthcare advice where concerns exist regarding growth, feeding difficulties, allergies, medical conditions, or developmental issues.

  1. PARTICIPATION

Parents and caregivers are responsible for implementing any information provided and for supervising their children at all times.

Participation in discussions is voluntary.

  1. GROUP ENVIRONMENT

Participants agree to behave respectfully towards all members of the programme.

Bullying, discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the programme without refund.

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY

All participants are asked to respect the privacy of other group members and not share personal information discussed during sessions.

While reasonable steps will be taken to encourage confidentiality, confidentiality within a group setting cannot be guaranteed.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All programme materials, handouts, recordings, slides, and resources remain the intellectual property of Shawn McLaren.

Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or sold without written permission.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shawn McLaren shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or adverse outcome arising from the use of information provided within the programme.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

  1. CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMME

Programme content, dates, and delivery methods may be amended where reasonably necessary.

Participants will be informed of any significant changes.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Register participants for programmes

  • Communicate programme information

  • Provide educational resources

  • Meet legal and professional obligations

Information Collected

  • Parent/carer name

  • Email address

  • Telephone number (if provided)

  • Child age or date of birth

  • Relevant feeding or allergy information where necessary

Lawful Basis

Data is processed for the performance of a contract and for legitimate business interests.

Storage

Information is stored securely and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Retention

Participant information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil business, legal, and professional obligations.

Sharing Information

Information will not be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law or where safeguarding concerns arise.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information

  • Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Request deletion where appropriate

  • Object to certain forms of processing

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Thank you for booking a place on our infant and young child feeding programme. Please read the following policy carefully before purchasing.

PAYMENT

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the programme.

PARENT CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to cancel your place, the following refund terms apply:

  • More than 14 days before the programme start date: Full refund.

  • Between 7 and 14 days before the programme start date: 50% refund.

  • Less than 7 days before the programme start date: No refund.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation request.

MISSED SESSIONS

No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for missed sessions, regardless of the reason for absence.

Where available, session recordings and supporting materials will be shared with participants who are unable to attend live sessions.

PROGRAMME TRANSFERS

Requests to transfer to a future programme will be considered on a case-by-case basis but cannot be guaranteed.

PROVIDER CANCELLATION

If a session must be cancelled by the programme provider due to illness, unforeseen circumstances, or events beyond reasonable control, participants will be offered:

  • An alternative session date; or

  • Access to a recording where appropriate; or

  • A proportionate refund for the cancelled session.

If the entire programme is cancelled before it begins, participants will receive a full refund.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the programme provider. Supporting information may be requested where appropriate.

DIGITAL RESOURCES

Once digital resources, downloadable materials, or recordings have been accessed or provided, these elements of the programme are considered delivered and are non-refundable.
